Mindful NZ Schools was established
in 2013 by Rita Riccola who has
been practising Mindfulness for over
25 years. She has completed courses
with Mindful Schools (USA) based on
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
(MBSR). Rita is a registered NZ
Teacher and works with businesses
and schools throughout Auckland and

There are many definitions of Mindfulness;
in short, it can be described as;
‘to purposefully pay attention in the
present moment without judgment’.
